Rockstar’s Max Payne 3 and the LA Norie Effect

When Max Payne 3 got its gameplay reveal a last year, the community responded with cheers and sounds of joy. Since then, the developer has kept the content releases both consistence, and informative. Through a series of Design and Technology videos, many of Max Payne 3’s new features have gotten reveled. If you journey on to watch all of them, there’s a good chance you’ll pre-order the game shortly after, if you haven’t already.

Though most of the content released for Max Payne 3 has been nothing short of splendid, the one concerned fans continued to have is how the games Noir story was going to be told. The gameplay graphics, and all the newly revealed features for the game, look amazing. However, the well-lit world and beautifully detailed environments, had fans wondering if the Noir atmosphere found in the previous games, would make a true return. Up until now, Rockstar has tried to reassure fans that a new original form of Noir storytelling, will keep the series true to its roots.

However, the gameplay reveals continued to show gorgeous environments that were further accented by the big-city party town of Sao Pablo, something that didn’t look Noir at all. Until a few days of ago, the Noir atmosphere in Max Payne 3 was still questionable, but the release of the latest ‘Design and Technology’ trailer, reveals a cinematic form of Noir that should please fans of the series, along with some visual effects that have the action looking better than ever. Ever wanted to be in a game well you can be in Max Payne 3 but you must act fast.

After finally getting a look at the new more cinematic version of Noir in Max Payne 3, it looks like the story’s getting told in a much better fashion, than what was seen in previous games.  The latest trailer reveals how Max’s darker moments are stained in the light parts of the world. From the looks of things, Rockstar has upgrade all the key elements that made Max Payne the franchise it is today, if things continue down this path, fans should be well pleased with what ultimately gets delivered.
